Topic: Hampton Beach this Year?

Just wondering if anyone has heard if there will be a show at Hampton Beach This year.
Memorial Day Weekend maybe? Feels like old times seeing Joe in that place.

No, no Hampton beach. But there is one in Portland.

Yea I already have my tickets to that show. Hampton Beach can sometimes be a surprise. Just wondering if there was any buzz about it. Thanks!

Saw Gary Clarke playing there and it is an All General Admission show.

Well I guess I'll never understand the love affair with this venue. It is a fantastic GA venue but not my favorite for Joe. Sound not so great and unless your sitting center stage you could have obstructed views. Believe me I know

The casino at Hampton Beach has got to be one of the worse places for a concert. The acoustics simply suck. I played there in the 70's and it still sounds just as bad. Did see many great bands and many great bands still play there but not for the acoustics that's for sure

It's not so much an acoustics thing, it's more the up close and personal nature of it. With all these sold out theaters it is like a step back.
This Summer I'd rather travel the 3 hours to Portland Maine to see Joe than the 45 minutes to The Oakdale. It's a nice theater, but I hate seeing shows there. I used to be a driver for that place and seeing shows from the side of the stage was ok, but paying and sitting in seats, just feel far away. (Springfield Mass in November worth the wait)
