Topic: Beth Hart

Considering Joe's history with Beth I am somewhat surprised no one has posted about Beth's current tour. Maybe it is somewhere on this tread and I missed it. My wife and I along with some of our Joe B posse saw Beth and her band at Foxwoods a couple weeks back. Small theatre, general admission and excellent sound.
We had high expectations - first time seeing her live with her new CD just out. She was awesome!! We knew what to expect from a  vocal standpoint but how she captured the audience with her overall stage presence was a pleasant surprise. Some new material and some old favorites. She opened up at times about her past and had some songs to go along with those dark days. Her supporting band was excellent as well. An extremely solid 2 hr. performance in which she captured many new fans I am guessing.
If you have not seen her I highly recommend it. Before her ticket prices sky rocket!

OMG - my Beth Hart concert review...
Saw her in February. You have to realize: I came there heavily pejudiced. Learned about Beth through Joe: haven't seen anything of her own work ( just couldn't ) for a long while.  " Live In Amsterdam " concert - aghmmm... amazing! Beacon's "Sinner's prayer" - goosebumps. . And then finely loving her latest album: "Fire On The Floor" And she sings just a few songs from it and does a lot of her older, really bitter and depressing songs. Me: really sad, sort of angry and having a nervous breakdown after the concert ( my friend's shoulder was really soaked with my tears )

PS: amazing, magnifcent voice. Outstanding stage presence.
