Since I can't separate 12 favorites, I'm going to bring up what I feel may be 12 of Joe's most overlooked tunes... As others have listed their favorites, they are also mine. These may or may not be others' least favorites, but, as I said everything Joe puts his hands and heart to turns out to be my favorite of his. I think those who have actually determined a favorite from each studio album perhaps ought to give these another listen (or maybe first), with de-escalated prejudice or presumption, or, better yet, without prejudice-just to see what comes over you, or to see if anything "fresh" comes out of your listen.
Anyway, here goes...
1) A New Day Yesterday- "Nuthin' I Wouldn't Do (For A Woman Like You)"
2) So, It's Like That- "Unbroken"
3) Blues Deluxe- "Long Distance Blues"
4) Had to Cry Today- "Revenge Of The 10 Gallon Hat"
5) You and Me- "I Don't Believe"
6) Sloe Gin- "India"
7) The Ballad of John Henry- "Feelin' Good"
8) Black Rock- "Wandering Earth"
9) Dust Bowl- "The Last Matador Of Bayonne"
10) Driving Towards The Daylight- "Lonely Town Lonely Street"
11) Different Shades of Blue- "So, What Would I Do?"
12) Blues of Desperation- "What I've Known For A Long Time"
