Palladia is showing Tom Petty all day today (11/26/15)

and at 9 pm (EST) ... 1 hour portion of a 2014 concert from Fenway Park in Boston (Palladia indicating New (first airing I guess with a re-air at 12:30 am EST.))

Thanks for the heads up - I was there!

Sandy

I wondered when I saw the location smile

DVR'd it ... haven't watched it yet.  I thought it may have been a recent DVD release ... thus Palladia airing it ... but that doesn't appear to be the case ... at least in the near term.

Re: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Great news for Sandy and other Tom Petty fans.

Tom confirmed on his radio show that the Heartbreakers are touring in Spring 2017. Hopefully they will also tour Europe.

Greatest Hits has been released on vinyl for the first time. The sound quality is just superb.

Hopefully he makes it to Boston (and England as well).  I will have to go looking for that vinyl.  Thanks for the heads-up Kenny.

Saw this today - might have to go for an early Christmas gift for myself.  Can't believe 40 years.  Thanks for the heads-up.

As part of Grammy week ... Tom Petty was 2017's MusiCares Person of the Year ... the gala was held last night (2/10/2017)

Heres a capture of his 11 minute acceptance speech:

In the states Joe Walsh is his supporting act. I'd have to say that Tom could be Joe's supporting act after seeing him tour with BadCo last summer. They traded opening spots and Joe opened the night I saw them. Needless to say, I made my break for the parking lot after about 4 songs by BadCo. Rich Robinson was the instumental highlight and Paul was of course "The Voice". Tom's headlining one of the Bottlerock shows in Napa, but that's not the way I'd like to see them. Hopefully there will be other shows in the Bay Area at better venues.

There will be West Coast shows in August. Contracts not all signed yet hence the delay in announcing.
