Topic: Amy Helm and The Handsome Strangers

An amazing show at Space, in Evanston, last night.

For those who don't know, Levon's daughter.

Set list started with "Didn't It Rain", the title cut, from her CD.  I already knew how great she was, and I still was blown away.

Find yourself a copy!  Got mine signed, personally.  Plus the copy of the set list she handed me at the end of show.

Best part was I didn't have to buy my way to a "meet and greet".  Sorry to be a critic of what it takes to see Joe up close, these days.  And let's not forget, Joe's parents are just average folks....

Still been buying into JB, for a long time...and that won't change.

This show for the money, in a small venue, yikes.  Reminds of being able to see Joe from a few feet away.  And without everyone trying to record it for "posterity".

Still love, ya, Joe, but damn, I had fun just watching a show, last night.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.
