Found a old post on here someone asked Joe about a vintage guitar article with joes princeton setup .. joe responded with the amp
Settings .. 8 volume .. 8 treble , bass 4 reverb 5 ... Les Paul with tone at 5 .. I'll try that and order a THD hot plate ..

I have a vague recollection of reading about Joe saying that, in his opinion, you need to crank the treble on Fender amps to help them break up more readily. To compensate he winds the tone back on the guitar.
