Great players rise to the occasion. Kershaw is one of them. He turned out the lights for the Mets with his first career save. I hate the Dodgers as well, but you must admire their tenacity and overall excellence.

Bill, your Cubbies and my Tribe would be the dream match up even though they're close in proximity. The 2 longest droughts in MLB history at this point. However if the Dodgers face the Tribe a good friend and Dodger fan said he's taking his brother and me to Cleveland for 2 games! Tough offer to pass up, so not too upset with the LA win last night.

Looks like the Jay's are wanting to fly south for the winter, then peck out a win over the Cleveland team
(I guess I'm allowed to still say Indian's since the law suit failed (LoL))
Toronto needs a miracle to win 4 straight, even if the Indian's cut off their fingers they have some really good pitching.
if Jay's drop out in the next day or two.. guess I'll have to jump on the Cubs

Tough time for the Cubs bats to shut down, although some credit should go to the Dodgers pitching. Cubs are in dire need of a win tonight.

Jon Lester has been pretty damn good this year and I think 10 runs and 13 hits has pumped the Cubs full of confidence.
I'd love to see them return to Chicago up 3-2.

My beloved Royals were too tuckered out from two straight World Series runs (31 extra games over the past two seasons) to make the playoffs this year, but I'm happy to see the fellow Central Division member Indians make the World Series for the first time since '97.
Cubs-Indians would be the better World Series match-up, I think. Ratings would be enormous thanks to the "Who Will Break Their Drought?" story line, and several of the game's best young players are on those two rosters.

I was fortunate enough to be at last night's game. A very emotional moment for many Cubs fans, myself included. The celebration after the game is a memory that I'll never forget.
I think this team showed what it's capable of. The Cubs are heading to Cleveland and I'm going to my first WS's game when they return to Chicago.
