Topic: Eric's new live album released Thursday is really good

" Live In San Diego with Special Guest JJ Cale "    filmed in 2007 when Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramall II were touring with him,  along with regular band members Willie Weeks,  Steve Jordan,  and Chris Stainton.

And the late JJ Cale " crashes " the set and does several of the songs he wrote and Eric recorded.   Even has Robert Cray on vocals and guitar on one track.

The tracks are the usual that Eric does in most concerts, but with Trucks and Bramhall,  they have a different sound.   I'm really enjoying this double CD set.

There's a great version of " Motherless Children " on this CD ,  nobody gets into a song like EC but this is one of his best with Steve Jordan on the drums,  and Derek Trucks playing the slide .....  this song was made for Derek.
