Topic: Green Day

Okay,, so theyre hardly an epic guitar orientated band, nor are they that into their blues, but without Green Day, I never would've picked up the guitar, and without learning the guitar, I actually highly doubt that I would be the person I am (maybe would not be as alive as I am now). I'm sure people on here like other styles of music, and Green Day are one of those bands which I listen to when I'm just  not up for blues-rock... Seen them once,, nearly got taken out unconcious,, almost fainted due to lack of hydration, yet Im SO going to see them again at Wembley this year  big_smile Already got a ticket booked, anybody else got one?

Again, just unsure whether they have a topic on here :S but without them, I surely would never have met all of you wonderful folks on here, as without guitar,, I never would've heard of JB!

Re: Green Day

Hi Rus,

I probably would have never seen Green Day perform if my kids didn't need a ride to the venue a few years back.  I thought they were really dynamic entertainers and it was a very enjoyable show.  And I think it is very cool about their recent connection to Broadway.

Re: Green Day

I love 'em too Rus. Billy & Mike grew up across the river from where I live and are adored by the Bay Area. I'm sure you must have Bullet in a Bible with the DVD from Milton Keanes. An awesome live performance. They're known for showing up at small clubs in the area with little or no advance warning. American Idiot is IMO one of the best albums of the last 20 years.
