I am not one to post volumes about a show. I will leave that to others. All I can say it was awesome. I flew in from Boston and Joe did not disappoint. Great show
Linked up with many friends.
It was awesome
Cheers Ron
Simply great! Looked like it was going to rain buckets, but all the rain came and went before the show started. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Joe brought in the brass just for the encore, isn't that amazing? More comments later. Can you believe I have to work today?
Did I say great? A day later and I'm still absolutely enchanted by the whole experience. Nothing like hearing Bonamassa's great riffs radiating out from the stage into the open air at Red Rocks. Another comment about the encore: Best version of This Train ever! As for the core of the show, I'm sure a lot of people will post the true setlist. For me, it's more about the vibe. These songs are the soundtrack to my life, Jeff Beck, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Clapton. I loved the way Bonamassa took these rock classics and used them as rocket fuel for his own unique creativity. Old, new, all blended together. As for the rest of the band, I could single out each individual for their genius, maybe Anton most. But the synthesis, now that's where the magic is. This concert was a memory I'll treasure into my old age. (Oh, wait, that's just tomorrow. Did I mention I was backstage at the Monterey Pop Festival after the Saturday night show? I've been to a lot of concerts. LOL. )

Don't think it was a guy dancing but there's nothing wrong with that...I give it a thumbs up...the solos were superb...of course, what else do I expect from Joe....Lynda told me she was in row 19...

It was a guy unless that lady was a body builder. Looked like he was having a blast. Two thumbs up from me. there are 5 more vids on the taper's channel of the show. All unlabeled as to content. Must be a youngster that didn't grow up with that music.

I know Lynda and she is among the BILLIONS who are younger than we are Rick but she is definitely a big time music fan....
Red Rocks three years in a row!!
Joe was flawless, amazing, awesome, excellent, pristine!!
He had to start late due to rain and word is many arrived late due to the delay but I was in my seat before it started so I missed nothing.
The set list was one I wasn't fond of until I saw Joe perform the songs live. Same happened with 3 Kings and MuddyWolf. Went in expecting not to really like the songs but Joe seems to always but the best spin on the songs when watching him live. So, as with the previous tributes I came away thinking "WOW"!
I am glad to hear next year at Red Rocks he will be doing his own music because that is the music I love!! Pure Joe!
Thank you Joe for another excellent show.
I got to meet up with Bonabuds too, which is always a blast.
Till next year!
This was my 3rd time seeing Joe at the Rocks and for me, it was magical.
A few songs into the set, the full moon appeared over the south portal with flashes of lightning in the distance, setting the scene for an unbelievable night of music. The band was cooking and Joe was on fire. His version of Pretending, so over the top, blew me away. And then there was, I Can't Quit You Baby, and if that wasn't enough, How Many More Times, that he just blasted to the heavens. It was magic and for me, one of those shows that I will never forget.
August 2017, God willing, I'll be there at Red Rocks. Let the magic begin!
This was the first time I got to see Joe live. I missed both of his shows at the Ryman in Nashville because of work. I flew out to Denver from Nashville specifically for this show and it definitely did not disappoint. I am "Saving the Date" August 23, 2017! I can only imagine how awesome it will be to hear such tunes as "Mountain Time" and "Stop" in the outdoor air of Red Rocks! Anxiously awaiting to hear when the tickets will go on sale because this is one show I do not want to miss. Thanks Joe and his fantastic band!
