Re: Bona-Trivia
I'll throw an easy one out there in the meantime ...
On Real Life with Jane Pauley ... what t shirt was Joe wearing in the opening footage? ... color and screenprint on shirt.
JBLP#251 (unaged) ... thank you Ron.

I'll pass the baton to RoadcaseBoy, since he's already got a good one.
unless he chimes in with one, go ahead with another question Tim, Lester usually passes on the asking the question part
I do have one for the forum members.
Give me the make and model of the first car that Joe purchased.
(It wasn't a BMW)
Lester..
Darn. I knew it but forgot. It was some big boat sedan as I recall. He needed a roomy trunk for his gear.

Your are thinking along the right lines, Rick.

I'm thinking it was an Olds 88. That is a flying guess.
Sorry Rick, not an Olds but it is an American model.

So the story of the Marshall Bluesbreaker is that it was made to fit in the truck (boot) of Clapton's car. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Bluesbreaker)
So it sounds like this was the reverse, the car was selected to fit the gear. All we need to figure out is what car has a trunk that fits a 4x12 cabinet. The Olds 88 isn't a bad guess on those grounds. :-)
Gotta be a Chevy, Plymouth or Dodge then. His folks were GM drivers as I recall. I'll guess a Dodge.
Rick

You are correct with Dodge, I'll give you a day or two to try for the model.
Lester...
1966 Polara?
1966 is good.
The model has a European feel about it.

Monaco. I guessed Polara based on a picture shown in the Americarna promo: https://youtu.be/jbO5eeNeUOk?t=6s With the NY plate and guitars, I figured that was a picture of his car.
But I see that is probably the Monaco. Here's an old ad on a jalopnik article about the car:

Even if that's right, there were so many hints you should go again.
It was a 1966 Dodge Monaco 500, cost $4500, similar vintage to few of his guitars.
Well done Tim.
Lester, you should go again, since that one was almost spoon fed to us.
(And I don't have one)
I will, but don't have anything just yet.
Lester
What was the make, model and year of the guitar that Joe purchased from Ebay from "Mr Shades"?
