Topic: When I met joe

Wow that was some while ago, but it feels weird now...

Anyhow I regret I wore a stupid shirt with a pic of keith richards on it (I don't like keith richards) just that it had a cool text on it, now I may have made the impression that I liked keith richards, not that joe cares but still guhh

Where/when did you meet joe the first time?

The first time I met Joe was not the first time I saw him play.   I didn't actually meet him until after the show at the Jacksonville Theater in Feb. 2007.  I thinik I just walked up to him, shook his hand and told him how much I enjoyed the show.  I asked him if it was ok to take some pictures  with him and he said it was.  We also met and talked to Mark and Bogie that night, which was really cool. 

Anyway, my avatar is one of the pictures Ken took of Joe and me outside his bus in front of the Jacksonville Theater  the first time I met him.

I first met Joe at Oneida last year in December. We were sitting at the bar playing video poker after the show and Joe came around to meet the fans. The hubby and I chatted a bit, then Joe decided to throw $20 in the machine that was open between us at the bar. After watching him play a couple of hands it was obvious he had no idea how to play so I gave him some pointers on the next hand. He hit five of a kind (playing Deuces Wild), won $65, exclaimed "I just won $45!", cash out and left. He's a much smarter man than we were that trip. big_smile

I'm just saying.

I was in Onieda last weekend.  The blackjack tables there are so cramped.  I have no patience for the 2 and 3 card poker tables.  SO I managed to learn to play roulette....it is AWESOME. Figure out the odds, and it could be more lucrative than blackjack. Love it now.

I first met Joe in June of 2003 in Manitowoc, WI at an outdoor fest.  He was hanging
around backstage and I doubt anyone knew who he was at that time in this little city.
He signed my CD and we talked alot about Summerfest.  Looking back, I wish I had
stuck around longer since I had him all to myself.  It turned out to be my
most memorable Joe show yet - he was really on fire that night.  I have pictures -
of Joe in those awesome velvet striped pants....do you still have them Joe??
