Great show last night in Wilkes Barre. We had front row and this show was kind of an impulse buy last Fall at presale because of that. I mean who can resist a front row seat when it comes up Drove 3 hours from home and came back right after show was over. I took some photos, but decided not to film anything last night. I had just filmed the whole show in Madison from the front row last week. I like to film the ones our friends attend because then we can all relive it whenever we want to. The shows on this tour are very similar so, since we weren't with any friends in Wilkes Barre it was nice to clap and cheer for a change. Plus I always feel like maybe it's a bummer for Joe and the band to see someone sitting very still with a camera the whole time. The filming is all a self imposed craziness, yet I know there are many people who have enjoyed viewing all the videos. So I'm often conflicted about the whole thing. I love doing it and love to watch them, but I also want to show enthusiasm during the show. The show last night was top notch as always. I thought the sound was great. I know there have been some posts about bad sound at the shows, but I have been at 6 so far and I thought the sound was great at all of them. I've sat in a variety of locations from balcony to front row, and haven't noticed any issues. The only times it has been too loud or bothered me is when we have been standing at the stage during the hummingbird encore and I am right in front of the small stage speaker. There have been some notes that Joe plays on that song that are pretty piercing to my left ear and I have to put a finger in that ear to dampen it. But that is a pretty extreme situation due to the fact I basically have my ear right smack in front of those speakers. When we are in our seats, the sound is clear and at a good level. I thought the crowd was pretty good last night. Not quite as enthusiastic as Madison last week, but not obnoxious either. Joe played a lot of solos real close to the edge of the stage which I love and it made our night to have him look down right at us and say thank you at the end of one of the songs when we were clapping and cheering. It was nice to see a couple of young guys behind us since most of the crowd is older. They were able to get a setlist from the security guy after the show. So that was cool. After the show when we were standing by the band bus, Dennis (the truck driver) came over, said Hi, gave us hugs and told us he had been on the side stage and watched us "rockin' out" during the show. Thought that was funny. When Reese came out he came over said hi, gave a hug and I was able to get a nice photo with him. Reese is always so friendly and seems to like talking to the people who are waiting outside. Nice to say a quick hi to Michael and Paulie also.
