Topic: Reno

As usual Joe put on a fantastic show even considering how rowdy the Reno crowd was!  The meet and greet was fantastic.  He's such a great guy!  The Reno fans were pretty rude to other people rushing the stage and the events center security was pretty lax about doing anything about it.  But Joe didn't let it phase him and his performance.  I loved the job Anton did during Blues of Desperation nearly duplicating the sound of the two drums from the recording.  All in all it was the best birthday present ever!

Re: Reno

I might also add we did this show with the Tour de Force dvd package so besides getting great DVDs, we got the meet and greet and are tickets were the fifth row in front of the mike.  I would do this again!

I'm glad you enjoyed the show, but I saw Joe there about 4 or 5 years ago and the sound was horrendous in that concrete cave. no desire to hear anybody play there again. Best show I saw Joe play in Reno was the showroom at The Nugget in Sparks, built for sound, but not big enough any more.

We saw Joe in the Bob Hope Theater in Stockton last Saturday night and I have to say the acoustics were the best that I've heard anywhere of that size...a fabulous theater...hope Joe comes back....

Re: Reno

Sorry for coming to the party late. Reno was the first time seeing JB in concert. We were very impressed with the music. I do agree the crowd control could have been more. I am not sure if I am crazy but I had told my wife that I thought tribute songs to Albert, B.B., and Freddie King were in the set. Anyone able to let me know if I am crazy or did I hear right??

He is playing these songs currently :

See See Baby (Freddie King)
Angel of Mercy (Albert King)
Never make your move too soon / Nobody loves me but my mother / Hummingbird (BB King)

Depends what the set list was.
