Black Circles

Supporting Laurence Jones last night, once again were Warrington's Black Circles; guitar & bass duo Sam Bratley and Martin Saunders. This was the same band as last year, except their drummer was Phil Wilson, who is now backing Mr. Jones. However, last year, there was a noticeable spark in Sam & Martin's set (and their self-released E.P.) that has been fanned, and they've now got a full album and The Hoax' Mark Barrett occupying the drum stool on this tour.

These lads have a very tasty, crunchy sound developing; good, fast rockers and very soulful slower blues numbers; a band to be keeping an eye on in the near future....
