Topic: Memory fails

You know when you have a craving for a particular track and no other will satisfy? I'm usually pretty good at remembering songs and lyrics but I've got a blank.

All I know of the song is that it's a slow blues with a bridge section where Joe sings 'trouble, trouble'. There are horns in the background. I've looked at the Tour De Force set lists, which my instinct tells me to, but nothing looks like a match.

Grateful if somebody can name it for me. I'll kick myself very hard once the blindingly obvious is pointed out, no doubt.

Re: Memory fails

Any chance it's Trouble Town?

Re: Memory fails

Thanks for coming to my aid. In a rare moment of clarity it came to me: someday after a while! I then purged my craving by listening to every version I could find, including the KTBA cruise version with Josh Smith.

Great song

Re: Memory fails

I hope one of those versions was Eric Clapton off of From the Cradle.  Absolutely ripping, and great singing. According to one of Joe's podcasts, he recorded it on a Gibson 335, which may be the last time EC played a Gibson for all I know.

Great song. Written by the great Freddie King.

Re: Memory fails

One of my favorite versions of that one is Joe live in Bergen, June 2013. I think it was the first stop on the tour.
