I never thought he was kidding. I guess I just don't get the point of going on someone else's forum and saying how you can get someone else's tickets for a quarter of the cost.

Hate to pop their bubbles but I bought Gov't Mule tix last week for $89 plus fees which brought it to $103 (12th row)....I don't see the big difference here, maybe in Germany it's closer in price...or your dreaming...go to the Mule site and try to buy tix for $25....good luck....hell, I can't even get parking at the Mule's show for less than $35 (at Mountain Winery, in Saratoga, Ca. if you don't believe me)
no dreams...............reality.
42,- a ticket front row.............if we are soon enough. and we are.

Please Ophrys, try to buy a front row ticket for Gov't Mule here in the United States for less than $90, YOU CAN'T DO IT !!!! I'm happy you can do it in Germany but it doesn't work here...as I said, go to the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California for the date of August 30th http://www.mountainwinery.com/concerts/listing/50 ......for $42 bucks you can park your car and buy a Coke but you aren't going to see Gov't Mule....

What is your point? Let me say this....if YOU were a good enough musician to sell out venue's at $100 plus per ticket, you would do just that. I LOVE Warren and Gov't Mule, but they wouldn't get $100 plus per ticket and sell the venue out. If they could, they would. They can't. Neither can you or you would. Joe can. Next question.
It is simply for me. All musicians work so freaking hard. I have been on the road and let me tell you it is not a easy life. It is extremely wearing on the soul. To work so hard for years and never to get ahead then finally to get to a point where you can reap the benefits of your years of labor and sacrifice who are we or anyone to say what they charge. Unless you have walked in their shoes for 20 plus years go see someone that fits your budget. I do not mean that rude in anyway it is simply the way it is.
What ever the market can bear, remember this is a business not a charity
Cheers
my two cents

Well said Ron. As a working road warrior myself, I can attest to the drain.
I see it this way. How often do we get a chance to see one of the premier artists in the world at the peak of his powers surrounded by musicians of the first water, an acknowledged virtuoso by his peers?
Worth the price and then some.
Exactly !

I think a lot of us on here remember the first few Times we saw Joe and the ticket prices then. I think my first show was like $12 or something like that. I knew back then that it would not be a cheap night out in a few years.
I don't even want to say what I paid for two tickets in 2nd row at Hampton Beach. And I also have my tickets for November in Hartford. Worth it? Hell Yea!!
I do think Joe's tickets are getting towards being too expensive. I personally think there has to be a point at which you stop and say "Hey, I want all my fans to have a chance of going to my show".
Now I fully agree that Joe deserves the chance to enjoy the rewards of his hard work, I can't think of any big artist who so obviously works as hard as Joe does, but the last few times he's toured in the UK I haven't been able to justify the cost of tickets.
Hopefully I'm going to get to see him in July at Colston Hall in Bristol, but only if I can manage to get in as one of the first aid staff!!
6 years ago when I started the front row was $72 and the 4500 seats were sold out.
this year the tickets are $150 front row.. guess what. the theatre of 4500 seats are near sold out.
he must be doing 'something' right.. he's still selling out his shows at double the prices of just 6 years ago.
I just disagree with the premium Ticket Master $350 seats.. but the 'normal' prices one can fight for on Ticket Master is ok.
make your choices.
Enjoy his show,
£60 or about $90 each for the show at Hoghton Tower on a Saturday night has got to be good value.
I have no problem w/ purchasing a single ticket and going by myself. If you buy extra tickets and don't use them.....well.....that's kinda your own fault......
And I have to disagree about the shows being boring and the same. The last show w/ Tina the cellist was amazing. Did not think I would like it, but was blown away.
