Anything that hasn't already been done a bajillion times already, and something that doesn't already have an absolutely iconic version. To that end, I think Joe (and Kevin?) have made awesome choices of covers thus far, and I love that when he does a cover he totally makes it his own. Jockey Full of Bourbin, Prisoner, Bird on a Wire, Spanish Boots... all great tunes that you haven't already heard a hundred versions of and Joe's version is unique and really strong. Personally I love the move towards more originals, but I like his covers, too, so I'm going to reiterate my post from a while back:
Uriah Heap's "Traveler in Time" - I can just hear an epic solo after the bridge.
Maybe he won't do any more covers on his albums for a while, but maybe as part of a live show it might be fun!!

don’t know if this has been said before on this thread, - but how about Joe does a show of just his OWN songs? He has a very credible catalogue now.

Not a bad idea, although the The Three Kings tour was nothing but covers, and was, in my opinion, one of his very best tours ever. Geez, he makes most all of his cover songs his own, too.
I think the key on that would be to have an excellent Program beginning to end. It has to have that Bonamassa flow to it. Stylistically going back to A New Day Yesterday it's always been apparent to me he wants the entire show to come off with a certain élan.
I do like the idea of all original, meaning I am of course open to the idea (as well as the opposite, or anywhere 'twixt the two 
), and if Joe continued to write everything, and went on a from here on out spree of all originality performances, it might become extremely interesting. On the other hand, it could become, to Joe, a bit boring, or he might feel an urge to express an attitude of "enough about me, check out this song," which of course, since he makes them his own so often, indicates the short straying distance from originality he maintains therewith.

On the other hand, my memory cells are having another famously forgetful fabulous f-f-f-flatulence fallout about the Royal Albert Hall soundcheck version existence...I remember Mike Meyer's Sunshine Of Your Love soundcheck video, but somebody help me with the White Room soundcheck clip (since we're already past halfway off topic) as I cannot seemingly recall it, or find it.

I was not and am not out to disparage your memory, Bill, just something nags at me thinking there was another time and place he played it. Perhaps not...just curiousity.
Getting back on topic, White Room, Sunshine Of Your Love, or Politician (he performed it with Jack Bruce also) would all be great candidates to cover during the British Blues Tribute Tour.

I do wonder what eras of the British Kings' catalogues Joe will work from...Clapton has such a long and varied career...will Joe stick with songs from the 60's and 70's or will he consider newer songs.... I would love to hear Joe's take on River Of Tears or Old Love for example...
