Edit: changed the topic title.  Poor Joe - this damp, cold UK weather ain't the same as Malibu!

We're driving up from Plymouth this afternoon with daughter and fiance in tow - their first Joe show. Row C slightly left of centre, can't wait! smile

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Driving down this afternoon Lyn... Block C, second row... Half way back last night at Cardiff, decent view but up close tonight ✌

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

I'll be there with the wife and two friends - Row J

Note to Joe - I'm hoping you play The River & Burning Hell

No matter how far you try to push the envelope, it remains stationery

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Gig cancelled according to Joe on Twitter? Bad head cold, rearrangement being organised asap. Hope those that were making long journeys are aware in time.

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

- and just announced on Planet Rock that it has been cancelled due to a head cold, unfortunately they were a bit negative about it being called-off, but Joe would not have taken this decision lightly I am sure. Hope the message gets to people before they travel.- And hope Joe feels better for Saturday, Brighton.

My YouTube channel with plenty of my Joe's videos dating from 2009 inc his first Hammersmith Odeon ones:

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Hopefully if Joe recovers then the Bournemouth show may still happen during the current tour.
Fortunately Mr Kyps is pretty close so not too much travelling involved if the venue is available.
Hope the Brighton shows go ahead later this week!
Get some Lemsip (max strength) Joe - works for me.

Lester...

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Now, we all know Joe doesn't just cancel shows on a whim so let's hope he makes a quick recovery.  It's disappointing for sure but I'd rather Joe was 100%.

According to the BIC, the show is rescheduled to 20 March 2016 and all tickets will be valid or refunds given.

Get well soon Joe!  Let's hope some of that Brighton sea air will do you good.  And besides, there's always Sunday to look forward to cool

Next March he is in Germany until the 17th - that is some quick decision to come to the UK afterwards. Might travel down for that.

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Poor Joe sad Hope he feels better soon. We just got to our hotel in Bournemouth a few moments ago which is right across from the venue and they asked us what we were planning to do and we pointed across the street. They were bummed to tell us the show was cancelled. It was the first we had heard. Hope he takes care of himself. Luckily there are a few days before the Brighton ones. Maybe the nice weather will help him feel better.

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Already flew in from Guernsey, so that's £200 for the flight and £50 for the hotel gone.

Am I disappointed? Of course I bloody am.

Would I have watched the guy I rate as one of the best on the planet play at half speed with no voice?

Of course I bloody wouldn't.

Stayed at the Wessex Hotel, and I'll see you all back there in March.

Joe, thanks for not just cranking out a duff show. Waited a lot of years to see you fella, I'll wait until you are good and ready.

Cheers all!

Rob (sat in Southampton airport waiting to fly home!)

Just when you think you can play,
along comes Joe and blows you away......

Nicely said, Rob.

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

That's the Premier Inn booked again!

We were nearly there on the way up from Plymouth when we found out about the postponement so we stayed there anyway as the room was paid for.

All the Bournemouth Premier Inns 35 quid a night on that Sunday at the moment - get in quick before they twig there's an event on! smile

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

I hear 1D were on in the BIC last night instead lol....

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Hi Joe.

I'm told you read this forum, so how about you do a few requests for the Bournemouth re-run?

I'd like to hear you play 'Prisoner' please for me.

It's not for me, it's kind of personal.

Best wishes Joe, looking forward to Bournemouth Part 2

Re: Bournemouth 28 October - show postponed

Joe just continues to amaze me with his artistry. Last night was another superb performance by the tightest of bands. Impeccable second row, centre stage view and a high/low 5 from Joe at the end of the show just had me leaving awestruck... But Joe, October through March was only a more 5 month wait, not 6....!!!

On balance the rearranged show allowed the opportunity to take in a different set list, not least the new material. Roll on July at Bristol - we go again
