Topic: Joe at "What-the-****" Arena" Birmingham. 20th March 2016

Well a year ago today my brother and I first saw JB at the Hammersmith shows and got a serious guitar-players-ego-ass-whooping! And last night we saw JB in Birmingham, UK and got ANOTHER one! We have come to the conclusion that he must be a robot...or some form of higher being....or possibly just a supremely talented swine...as we just don't know how a normal human can play at such a high, supreme level for over 21/2 hours - which passed in about 5 minutes!

Set list - to the best of my recollection was...
This Train
Mountain Climbing
No Place for The Lonely
Blues of Desperation
See See Baby
Never Make Your Move Too Soon
Angel of Mercy
Hey Baby (New Moon Rising)
Oh Beautiful
Love Ain't A Love Song
Nobody Loves Me But My Mother
I Gave Up Everything For You...'Cept The Blues
Going Down
Sloe Gin
The Ballad of John Henry
All Aboard

That's from memory so I might have missed something or go orders wrong. And if you ever read this Joe then thankyou for making me want to blow my talentless brains out - in a good way!!! Roll on Newark Castle for the UK Blues Tribute. smile

Same...just about to head out from Plymouth to Bournemouth now...and yes we know Joe is in Plymouth tomorrow but we'd booked and paid for the hotel once the rescheduled Bournemouth date was given out before the Plymouth date was announced!!

Having said that, succumbed to temptation and bought a ticket for tomorrow as well so it's a double dose this weekend...bring it on smile

Second that. Also went to Birmingham last night.  A really great gig.  The sound quality was great; the band were great.  Loving the Fender Tweeds. Joe on a great form.

Thanks Joe, worth a 7.5 hour round trip.  Got back home 3am and happy.

Guitars: Gibson CS JB ES-335, Fender Tele
JB UK Shows: May 10 - Bournemouth; Jul 10 - London;  Jul 11 - London (BCC); Mar 12 - Bournemouth; Mar 13 - London; Mar 16 - Birmingham
