Lance Lopez is back with what could be a real thriller, due out Feb 26. He has Fabrizio Grossi on bass and Kenny Aronoff on drums, with a slew of special guests including Billy F Gibbons, Warren Haynes, Robben Ford, Eric Gales, Chris Duarte, and Walter Trout.

Listening to his first album Wall of Soul right now.  I've heard his name mentioned before, but hadn't ever listened to him. Awesome player!! Can't wait to hear more. Might also have to keep track of when he comes to Dallas for a show.

I like his early stuff as well.
This Supersonic Blues Machine is a real good album.I really like the track with Billy Gibbons.
The Warren Hayes track is a good song but it doesn't really grab me,though that's the featured song on the Internet.Overall an excellent Album.Not as firey as his earlier works.Maybe  the "mature"label applies more.

Wall of Soul is just tremendous ain't it ? I think it's my fav even still...... have not bought this yet but will in short order. I think that Gary is correct, he has matured greatly and made a concerted effort here to not try to play over the top of his guests but instead to fit in with them.

seems an unlikely combination of guitarists, but it works nonetheless because you know Robben can play with just about anybody and make them sound better.

Love Wall Of Soul very funky.
But it is not his first.His First album is First Things First.I like it too but maybe not as much as his WOS,Simplify Your Vision,and Higher Ground.Thats my LL trifecta

California Soul has been out and it is an excellent album.One of my favorites of the year so far.
