Topic: Clapton Cream Tones with Pedals

Hey folks
Happy Friday! I finished off a new video for the people at Keeley Electronics, tone stacking with their pedals to get Clapton Cream Era tones. Hope you all like it!

Well that was worth the 5:21!

A bit envious of that Firebird, nice gear.

Very nice!

Re: Clapton Cream Tones with Pedals

Thanks guy! Had alot of fun shooting this one, Clapton has always been my favorite. I'm going to do another one for his 70s & Beyond tones, more Strat and Tweed amp based.

That Firebird is actually a very very special guitar to me - and the red Les Paul (that I gave the "Lucy" treatment to) is courtesy of Mr. B himself, it was one of the GC Bluesmasters Finalist prizes - never actually confirmed that he judged the first round, but thats what they told us, so I choose to believe them ;-)

Reale nice and organic sounds. Cool playin' too of course.

Re: Clapton Cream Tones with Pedals

I take it the Wine Red LP is the Trad? Very nice. Very likely that will be my next big guitar purchase....though probably not for a while yet after a new Telecaster and Martin in the last 6 months!!

Guitars: Fender American Original 60s Strat, Fender American Vintage 52 Tele, Gibson Les Paul Traditional
FX: Various including - Ceriatone Centura, Fire Custom Shop Carpe Diem
Amp: Fender ML212 Deville + 212 extention cabinet

Good for you! This was the traditional "pro" model - although its not at all stock. The Trad Pros came with an active 10db boost, coil splitting, locking tuners and the works. Also has a satin back which I do happen to like. But I don't care for all the other stuff, so I have Porter Smooth & Classic humbuckers in it with a Tone Man Guitar 50s style wiring harness with PIO caps. Also swapped out the locking tuners for grovers and added a "Custom" truss rod cover to go for the Clapton/Harrison Lucy LP look (even though that one is cherry red and this one is wine red - if I ever get a cherry red LP I'll do it more accurately, but this makes it kind of a tribute with my own flare)

Haha, yeah...I know what you mean about the boost etc.

There's a used Pelham Blue Trad Pro for sale here in the UK that I have half an eye on (can't really afford it, but I love Pelham Blue!!) and if I was able to afford it at some point then I would be taking out the stock electronics and fitting vintage style PAF's and wiring!!
