Topic: Joe with Paul Rodgers on vocals Fire and Water, '59 blew me away

I just listened to a version of Fire and Water with Joe playing one of his '59s and Paul Rogers on vocals.  THAT is the most amazing tone I've ever heard out of a guitar.  The rhythm sound Joe is getting just blew me out of my seat...wow!  Being someone who truly enjoys hard rock and heavy metal, hearing that deep, nasty, distorted '59 is something I'll always remember.  Kind of interesting how you never know when you are going to come across something that will have such a profound effect on you.
Different people will vote for different songs when it comes to deciding which one had an example of the best sounding '59.  While there have been many examples, most of what ZZ Top recorded, my vote will forever remain firmly planted on the version of Fire and Water played live at the Beacon Theater.

Thank you for that wonderful reply.  I have not heard Black Country Communion Live Over Europe.  But, I can guarantee you I'm going to do so in a couple of minutes from now.  Thanks for the heads up.

Definitely one of the best tracks on the "Beacon Theater" DVD

Great choice but can you please change the topic from Rogers to Rodgers. Been my pet hate since 1969.

I'm all apologies for misspelling the man's last name.  Hopefully I still get an A for effort :-)
