Topic: If you could be endorsed by any guitar co....

Who would you pick?

I 'd HAVE to choose Gibson. I'd want a lavaburst (black to green) SG much like that SG Supreme.

If Heritage wanted to sponsor me, I'd take that. They have the old Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, MI. If they could replicate that SG, I'd be more than cool with that. They got the years behind them.

I wouldn't want a Fender endorsement - I flip through musician's friends and AMS and see all the signature models and think - <yawn>. the subtle differents do not really justify the cost. Althought the Eric Johnson strat is really nice. SRV model and the John Mayer one is good too...but I wouln't want "my own."

how bout you?

Id go with Fender myself.  Not sure I would bother with a signature Strat, for the same reason you said Nic. Although a signature might strike my fancy.  But Id love an endorsement where they would just hook me up with any kind of guitar I asked for.

The other one that would interest me is Larrivee.  I could easily come up with a signature acoustic.  As well as free ones from the company.

Endorsements would be fun smile

I am signed with gibson *grin* big_smile

Re: If you could be endorsed by any guitar co....

I would have to say gibson or fender,  one  of the two,  i cant decide  which!

Fender '62 reissue Stratocaster, 2001 Gibson Les Paul Studio(Stock), Marshall JCM900 100W Head, Original 1972 Carvin 4/12 Cabinet,Ibanez Ts9 Reissue, Keeley Compressor, Boss DD-3 Delay, Vox Wah

Yeah I don't know either, itd be Gibson or Fender. I'm normally a strat player but I really like Les Pauls and 335s at the moment.

I thin I'd like to be endorsed by a boutique amp company like Two Rock, Germino or Fuchs.

One of these days I'll get a Lentz.  Scott Lentz makes some sweet geetars.  Friends claim he has the knack for picking the wood & the know how on the necks; and he's not pumping too many of them out.

AMPs, man, Bruno, Two Rock, Fuchs, Fargen; I just luv those old blk face but also 3D sounding amps.

I have to say.......Nik Huber. I have a Dolphin model and I've never played a better guitar..............and Nik's a great guy too!!

Re: If you could be endorsed by any guitar co....

I would get an endorsement from JAMES TRUSSART.  He makes the Best Telecaster I have ever played.  Made of Steel...It is with out question the most amazing guitar out there. I have though about selling my 1958 Les Paul Reissue to fund one.  Cant quite get myself to do it.
I'd get a Amp endorsement from Fender.  I would have them bring back the Evil Twin from the mid 90's.  I have owned 2 and I love them.  Very loud and very responsive.  The gain is great. Everything you need.

I did some research, pretty cool guitars.  How much do they run?
I'd still almost rather have a Gigliotti, but these metal bodies are pretty cool...

James Trussart guitars are kind of pricey.  I think they are around 3500.  I saw one in Guitar Center and they wanted 3300 I think. It was used.  Of course you'd never know cause the finish cant be hurt.

I played it and the neck was amazing. I'd dare to say the best neck I've ever played.

I'd buy one but again I'd have to convince my wife that I really need another 3500 dollar guitar.  Not likely she'd agree.
