Re: Blues of Desperation on Bestbuy and Amazon UK
The question becomes is the CD from Best Buy containing bonus tracks like the last cd?

Man, I HATE that **##... put out an album, period. No "special bonus tracks ONLY at Target/Best Buy/wherever".... that really ticks me off.

Why I'm waiting for BB to get mine. I decided to save on the postage/handling and scored the extras last time.

Would you hate as strongly if you were the artist?! Who's management, the ones to keep the show going on, the bills and tabs paid, and yourself in a place to perform and create in hour own fashion, makes that extra content due to the extra accessibility of a major retail outlet still presenting physical recorded media? To me, that seems like a thoughtful thing to do! WHAT IF, somebody has an immediate need to proceed on a scavenger mission for one, any, of your recordings? An impulsive buyer will pay the cost of shipping themselves to a retail location in a good or at least decent mood, and make a purchase, whether by the whim of browsing or an all or nothing safari. Why not reward them, and bring those in who don't hate this method of marketing strategy?! Makes total sense to me, and I like it. A lot. Exposure online is one thing, but in front of your eyes in your hand is another.......I feel it's thoughful and certainly fair, what else can I say?!
Smart move, Rick. The Best Buy in San Diego's Mission Valley Center Mall has been on track for putting Joe up since I demanded they do so and had kept (keep on at every store I visit) doing so quite a while back and again They have improved to the point as to really be not only a viable outlet, but a valuable one as well. Their timing has also been excellent. Keep on 'em!
Head on over there, NOW, and ask where is it?!

I already pre-ordered from Amazon so I hope there aren't exclusive tracks from another retailers, but I get why it's done. Not the end of the world. I got the extra tracks on DSoB from Best Buy, and it was cool, but I'm sure there will be another way to get them this time around if it's the case.

Well, I pre-ordered the Deluxe Silver Edition. No extra tracks, just extended booklet, silver packaging, and limited edition. I LOVE this **## :-)

Re: Blues of Desperation on Bestbuy and Amazon UK
Haven't heard a peep about bonus tracks. But I would take any bona bonus tracks I could get my hands on.Or should I say ears on.
Last release caused quite the rumblings of bona fans when it was found out that there extra bona tracks for a Best Buy version after they had already signed up for the pre sale.Maybe the blow back caused a pause for doing it again.
The webio says they recorded 24 tracks and only 11 maybe on the the new discaroo so it would be great if some bonus babies were put out there in Bonaland.Bonus tracks on the Best Buy or some MP3
on the old forum site?Be cool if not going to be released to be able to hear some even if in demo form.
Well that is the stuff box sets and anniversary editions are made of to re sell the same package in 20 years or so!

Nobody said it has extra tracks,
I think they learned from the last time,
This one is a "special " silver case, and one regular case that's it.
I think I can wait for normal one
(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

Re: Blues of Desperation on Bestbuy and Amazon UK
J&R Adventures exists to market Joe. They'll soak up every dollar they can, by whatever means. That's not an indictment, in any way. I can't afford Joe live, these days. And that does stink (not to go off topic, here we all know what it costs to mount a Joe tour.)
But this artist shares his soul and chops on stage, and on youtube, whether through official channel vids (Drive is amazing, BTW, as if I needed to say that), or by the friends here who share. (You know who you are, and so does Joe.)
Re: Blues of Desperation on Bestbuy and Amazon UK
It would be nice to know if there are special editions coming out so you can plan pre-orders and make the choice. Either way, looking forward to the album.

Amazon UK has better pics of the Silver Edition than Joe's store:

There are 11 tracks on the album... 11 were recorded. No more bonus anything ... I like it better that way.

As an artist, I wouldn't do it.

Re: Blues of Desperation on Bestbuy and Amazon UK
Well that's enough for me, straight from the horse's mouth so to speak . I'm one of those who was holding back on pre-ordering the new album, to see if a better option came out with bonus tracks. So, off to pre-order now...
