Topic: Joe in Germany

Welcome to Germany Joe!
Hope you enjoy Düsseldorf.

Tomorrow is my first JB gig of 2016. Dortmund Westfalenhalle.
An old odd building that can hold up to 15000.
Tomorrow there will be about 3000-4000 I think

I am very excited because Anton and Michael are still in the band and the new stuff
of Blues of Desperation sounds very cool.

As I saw and heard the second KTBA show I was blown away.
Hopefully I can hear the Power Trio set here in Germany also.
Maybe in Lingen, my second show.
I managed to get 8 other Music Fans into this show.
They never heard of Joe, maybe after that show we have some new Forum Members. :-)

Sales of this German leg are O.K. but Joe shows normally sell better here. Most of the shows sold approx. 60-70%
of the tickets.
I think this time the ticket prices were a bit too high.
Kat 1 were EUR 170, a few days ago when ticket left unsold they changed these prices to EUR 90.
pheeeew. That's nearly 50% discount.

Anyway I am looking forward and will give a review afterwards

Setlist is always an excitement. What will he play? I hope quite long as the cruise shows were approx. 1.5 hours
But pure power.

Tomorrow we will know... Let the JB year 2016 move on

Re: Joe in Germany

I'll be there today, in Dortmund, too.

Re: Joe in Germany

Cool Jimi,

where do you sit?
Me row 8 seat 1

Re: Joe in Germany

Bonn on sunday anyone?
We are sittin´ at the balcony.
Yes, ticket-prices are very high today, 170.- euros for the first rows is very expensive. But some shows are mostly outsold I think (Dortmund, Bonn on sunday, Frankfurt) and a lot of shows are in the same region.

I wish a lot of fun for all who are going to the shows.

Sorry for the late reply. Was in row 5. Great show, killer sound, awesome set list.

Re: Joe in Germany

Anybody got the list. I imagine it was probably similar to the Blues Cruise set.

Guitars: Gibson 2015 LP Traditional in Honeyburst, Gibson LP Studio Deluxe, Fender American Deluxe Telecaster, MIM Fender Strat with Dimarzio Areas, MIM Fender Hss Strat,  Epiphone Sheraton II, Breedlove Acoustic
Amplitube 4 with Scarlett 6i6 and 2i4 interfaces through studio monitors.

Re: Joe in Germany

Lingen yesterday: great show! Attendance could have been a bit better, but Lingen did seem to be "in the middle of nowhere" a bit, as evidenced by Joe jokingly saying something along the lines of: "I believe I speak for all of onstage when I ask you: where the hell are we? Even when we got here, we were wondering if we had the right address, 'cause we only saw a nuclear powerplant and a couple of windmills." However, the guys didn't seem to mind in the least, and went on to deliver an absolutely killer show.

I'm really digging the four new songs! We also got quite a few songs from the Three Kings tour (I'm really hoping the laughable lawsuit doesn't prevent that from being released on CD/Blu-ray, by the way), and the set was rounded out by a couple of Joe's own classics, followed by Muddy Waters' 'All Aboard' as an encore. The band seems well-oiled, they played for well over 2h15m, lots of fun onstage, great sound... The fact that we literally had the best seats in the house this time, as front and center as it gets, didn't hurt either.

That is what I was hoping for. Nice mix of tunes and the band giving a long set.
Thanks for the review. Green with envy at your primo seats!

I sat next to you! Show was good. I enjoyed the new songs the most. But I really like the standing concerts better. On the balcony in the isle a couple was dancing that was cool.

Re: Joe in Germany

That couple was us! We thought we had the best seats of all. We were able to dance all evening and that was awesome!  Thanks Joe and the band!
