Topic: It's time for a Bonamassa-thon...?

Ok. So. I own all of Joe's studio albums to date. No doubt I'll be in line to get Blues of Desperation when it comes out next month.

What I haven't ever done is listen to all of the albums back-to-back.

I think it's time.

I'll start tonight. wink

Just out of interest though, what's everyone's favorite LIVE album of Joe's?

I at one time owned the Royal Albert Hall album and the Live From Nowhere In Particular album. But something happened... I must have lost them when I moved house somehow or something because I haven't had/seen/listened to them for literally years sad

Anyone else going to have a Bonamassa-thon before the new release?

Re: It's time for a Bonamassa-thon...?

We'll the ANDY cd does not have all the tracks from the ANDY DVD.. so I ripped the 2 major songs missing.
so you have that long Are You Experienced and the Jam Intro tracks that you won't have on the CD.
you'll need to rip those from the DVD.. I did.. glad I did.

as of Live from Nowhere.. well that's the stepping stone to RAH-2009

I don't know.. So It's Like That, is pretty darn good too.
Heck.. just listen to all the recordings,, have fun.

Re: It's time for a Bonamassa-thon...?

My favourite live album definitely is Radio City Music Hall. I love the fabulous huckleberries (who also played at the RAH my second favourite). And I love all the electric songs. Some missers are still water and living on the moon. So what would I do is my favourite because I like the solo in three parts with Paulie Cerra, Reese Weynans and Joe himself.

But a Bonamassa-thon is a great idea but I only have 5 albums!!

Hah, great idea.  Then again, it's a day that ends in "y" and those are usually good days for Bonamassathons.

Re: It's time for a Bonamassa-thon...?

Thanks to Joe and his ridiculous output, I have been on a Bonamassa-thon since around 2006. Attempt to watch every live video he's made and you're eyes may start to bleed !! Joe-verkill...I've been dealing with this affliction for about 10 years now.

Been on my own Bonamassa - thon over the last week. Music is such good therapy and Joe's music is the best prescription ever! It's so hard to pick a favorite but if I had to, it would be Live at Rockpalast. The slide work on The River is just over the top for me.

Of course any version of Mountain Time and I'd Rather be a Blind Girl with Beth Hart are guaranteed to move me to tears so they are at the top of the list too.

What the hell - just play everything over and over. That should cover all bases lol!

Good point, lol!
I guess as I look back, the last 11+ years has been a continuous Bonamassathon.
