The early records are the most boring ones.

You're kidding right? Well maybe not we each have our personal faves and that's cool too.

To this day my favorite Joe CD is A New Day Yesterday 'Studio' version. Unmatched in guitar pyrotechnics and sheer weight of his sound as far as I can tell. I'd bet he couldn't even play that way anymore. But as so many others have already stated I am so looking forward to this new heavy duty blues CD. I also have been waiting for the power trio to return as well.

Is there going to be a version of this CD with Bonus Tracks?

I just prefer the Americana type of stuff more.

Re: Blues Of Desperation Official EPK

OK so there's a lot of hype about this being a 'power trio/quartet CD and based on the Youtube vid it sounded pretty impressive and I for one would be first in line for such a CD. But on listening to the sound samples posted on Joe's Sound Cloud, https://soundcloud.com/joe-bonamassa I've heard Derek and the Dominos produce heavier sounding music. I went to sound cloud expecting 'Power Trio' ... you know Eric Czar and Joe kind of stuff.

Is it just that the Sound Cloud samples are all singing and no guitar work or is there really some greatness of the former power trio days in there? I was 'all in' on a pre-order until I hear the Sound Cloud samples. Now I'm feeling like a wait and see kind of thing.

Me too. Though Kevin did say on the EPK that there were acoustic and more lighter blues tracks as well as a few heavy ones.

Speaking of the samples, Planet Rock had a link on their page for the UK British Blues presale that was a free download of the track "The Valley Runs Low".
But when I follow the link, it goes to a free download of "One Less Cross to Bear" from Radio City.
Anyone else had the same issue?

Yup, I agree.  I'm sure I'll buy it no matter what because everything that Joe does is first class.  If it has at least a couple of hard driving cuts I'll be happy.  I'm probably not to far from becoming selective with Joe's music rather than buying what ever he puts out.  I have enough Chicago/Delta Blues and acoustic music to last quite awhile.  I find myself playing Ryan McGarvey more and more these days.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

I see what you mean. These are small snippets but to me these don't = power quad.Maybe I am projecting my own desires and putting  the cart before the horse so to speak. Also doesn't mean I won't enjoy these. As I already really like what I hear on the epk and the song Drive
