Tickets down at Greenwich for me.

Me too and I'm pleased. I was however frustrated that there didn't seem to be a seating plan available and it didn't allow you to choose your own seats. At these prices that would have been nice!

Agreed. One wonders if for the general sale from this Friday, that option would be available.
Hey ho, too late now. Got the tickets and I'll see this unique show whatever.

However, judging by previous GMT festivals and by my seat allocation, this is probably the best indication at the moment as to how it will be laid out.

Also judging from previous GMT shows, people more often stand for the show and move around so it's possible we'll end up in better spots on the night.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Got tickets yesterday for Newark show in the Planet Rock presale. Was able to book tickets in the middle of the front block. Psyched to hear/see this show. Going to my 2nd Bonamassa show in Birmingham,UK in March so it's great to add a 3rd show in the same year - and a 'special' show at that! Wonder if we'll be witnessing Joe's next DVD!

Joe told me there would also be one show at Red Rocks. However, he also said the shows would be in August, so we'll see. lol

Anxiously awaiting such an announcement.

Very excited for this one...wondering what the guitar and amp selections will be for this tour. No cutting up the blackguards Joe for a Tele-Gib Beckesque effect! wink

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

See the link in the post at the top of this page. It's the only one I've been able to find too.

The following link provides some interesting shots of what it's like on the day. The photo on the far right of the fifth row down shows where I, Mrs W, David and Kenny will be sitting. In the background there's a bus selling champagne and oysters!

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Yes indeed, I'll be at the Greenwich show thanks, once again, to the Wooders' Ticket Agency. I was out all day for the first day of the pre-sale so we couldn't even do our usual tag team approach to ticket buying. I've been looking at ponchos on Amazon, just in case. I reckoned that, if I bought one, it would probably turn out to be a warm sunny evening. Probably. Anyway, really looking forward to the show in what look like lovely surroundings.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Any predictions as to what songs may come up?

From what Joe has done previously we could expect:
- Further On Up The Road
- Tea For One
- Spanish Boots
- Blues Deluxe
- Had To Cry Today
- 'Possibly' Dazed and Confused

I'd love to see Joe do a rendition of "In My Time Of Dying", he'd completely ace Jimmy's slide playing on that.
Maybe bring out the Cherry '64 ES335 for "I'm Tore Down".

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Since I've Been loving You is a "proper" blues song from Zep that would be great if Joe did it.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Trampled Underfoot would be challenging..it s a personal favourite however.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

I would love to see the Jeff Beck setlist start off the same way Jeff Beck originally did:

Jeff Beck:  Truth (1968)

1)  Shape of Things
2)  Let Me Love You
3)  Morning Dew

Truth was released 6 months before Zeppelin I and the band included Rod Stewart on vocals and Ronnie Wood on bass.  To this day, in my opinion, the most powerful intro to a new artist/album ever.

Although my favorite version of Shape of Things was Gary Moore's, I love Becks version too.  "Let Me Love You" cowritten by Stewart and Beck is an incredible song, and my favorite on the album, that (in my opinion) never received the attention it deserves.  Morning Dew, an old folk standard, is most associated with the Grateful Dead, but the Beck/Stewart version on Truth is amazing.  I feel almost sacrilegious saying this, but I almost prefer Morning Dew on Jeff Becks Live + (2015) with Jimmy Hall on vocals.  Jeff goes nuts on the guitar, and Jimmy's vocals are so powerful that you get pumped up listening to it.

With Page it seems like Joe is going to need help on vocals for some of it.  Plant had a hard enough time keeping up with Page, much less trying to be Page & Plant at once.   Since I've Been Loving You, and Ten Years Gone are my two hopes for the Page set.

Clapton I trust outside opinions more than my own.  I like Eric but have never fully developed an ear for him.

I'm checking the forum and FB frequently hoping Joe is going to schedule a final British Kings show at Red Rocks.  I might try to use the Jedi mind trick on him on the cruise in 2 weeks to influence the scheduling if possible ;-)

Regardless I'm thrilled about the British 3 Kings tour and I know Joe will crush it.

Well, good, I am watching everything I can to make sure we see Joe again at Red Rocks.  Still hoping for Joe's Red Rocks tribute to the music of Bonamassa. But really glad to hear there will be a Red Rocks date on the tribute tour.
