Re: 2016 Summer Tour

OMG Joe is playing my home town In July! Nobody plays Preston anymore, although Led Zep and The Beatles once did. Very excited.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Colston Hall, Bristol  - 5th July
Ticket prices £64.50 - £96.75, WOW !!!!

No matter how far you try to push the envelope, it remains stationery

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Full UK itinerary is:

JULY 2016

2nd - Hoghton Tower
3rd - Glasgow Clyde Auditorium
5th - Bristol Colston Hall
7th - London Old Royal Naval College
8th - Newark Castle

Joe Bonamassa announces A Salute To The British Blues Explosion

Some interesting venues; I assume that Hoghton Tower, the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich and Newark castle will be outside events. Let's hope the weather will be kinder than the last time I saw Joe out in the open at Clapham Common when it was wet and cold in June. sad

Hoghton Tower

Old Royal Naval College The Painted Hall looks beautiful but I doubt they'll let us in there. hmm

Newark Castle

Hoghton Tower for me then. It is an outside event so fingers crossed. big_smile

Anyone know what the "Fan Club Pre-Sale" is? Is there a code like the ones for the US shows?

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Good luck with the ticket lottery folks. We will have to pass on this series. Dates fall in a no man's land between our scheduled plan to see the kiddos in Germany and the Spring US tour. Have fun!

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

The great thing about Hoghton Tower (other than the fact I know the family) is that it is a rare chance to see Joe play at mainly standing show. I hate seated venues. It will however most likely rain...but we are well used to it round here!

As I live just up the road near Colne and teach at Blackburn College it is the best and nearest venue ever. Can't wait. You never know, for once it may not rain. big_smile

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

In answer to David's question about a fan presale, if you've received the e-mail from J&R today there's a link within that that takes you to the Planet Rock presale, so it looks like that's the presale.

For the London gig, digging around on the link to the Ticketmaster page David provided shows that the ticket prices range from £55 to £165. If £165 is the top price it's not quite as much as I feared as the VIP ticket prices for other shows at the venue during that week are up to £225 - ouch! £165 or USD 230 is more than enough. We shall see tomorrow.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

Glad to see there is a Glasgow gig.  Kinda worried what the price is going to be, since I need to buy 3.

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

That's me got my three tickets! Yay!

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

After much frustration with Ticketmaster I have excellent seats for Glasgow.

If any forum member is struggling to get decent seats - I may have a couple spare!

Re: 2016 Summer Tour

No US dates for this tour? That stinks!

Me too and I'm pleased. I was however frustrated that there didn't seem to be a seating plan available and it didn't allow you to choose your own seats. At these prices that would have been nice!

I know right, how awesome would it be to hear Joe play some Yardbirds songs. I think I wore out my Roger The Engineer vinyl album in my teen years smile
