Topic: Burlington Vt show

Well what can I say Joe has done it again. Let me just say there were at least 4 standing ovations.
What a show I wish I was going to Carnigie Hall but working for my friend Gary Hoey on the "Rock Legends Cruise". Then heading to Joes Keep the blues alive cruise. Busy next few months.
But tomorrow night heading to Joes Portland show with my friend Jay. A fun day of guitars and show

I sure wish we could go join you folks. We get our share of the good stuff out here on the West Coast, but something came up and we have to cut back on the travel $. Our oldest son Chris just was accepted into a very prestigious 1 year accelerated MBA program  and we are going to cough up a big chunk of dinero to help assist him in a midlife career change, so the gigging will suffer for a while. This show looks like a real winner with exotic members and new music. Thanks to all of you East Coasters for keeping us fed with vids, audio and reports.

Thanks Ron. It comes with the territory as they say. Big step for him with a wife and three kids and stepping away from his job. A big gulp moment for sure.

Re: Burlington Vt show

Joe's show was AMAZING at the Flynn Theatre last night.  My friend and I were sitting up in the balcony so we had a good view of the stage.  Honestly, we both thought this show was even better than the one we saw in 2014.

Woke Up Dreaming was crazy in a good way and that brought the house down. Everyone around my friend and I we were all in agreement about how amazing that was.  Tina Guo has a bunch of new fans now.  The exchange between her and Joe and the timing blew the roof off.

The entire band was fantastic - great show and glad I got the chance to see Joe again!  Oh yeah, my section was the one that hollered a lot - we even sang a bit too.  :-)

His story about his mom calling that he was on TV was hoot too and how he got some free publicity.

Re: Burlington Vt show

I was at the Burlington show and thought it was the best Joe has sounded vocally.  I will always prefer his "plugged-in" stuff, but I felt this was one of the best shows I've seen from him.  It seemed to be more about the music as a whole, and less about his guitar playing.  Very refreshing.  This was my wife's first Joe show, but certainly not her last!!!  We are going to the Providence, RI show in May as well.

Sounds good, Ron.  You certainly get around!!  I did 4 shows in 7 days a couple years ago...Albany, Boston, Baltimore, then NYC Beacon!!  Bummed he's not doing Hartford, CT or Springfield, MA this time around...last time he was in the area was November 2014...he played Springfield Symphony Hall the day before Thanksgiving during a pretty bad snowstorm.

Cheers,
Troy
