Topic: Carnegie Hall

So it appears there is a good possibility of a major winter storm hitting the NY tri-state area Friday night into Saturday. It's likely my fault since I just bought my Friday ticket!

LOL. I know what you mean. I live almost a mile off the road, in the woods, and I won't get home until 4:30 Saturday. Fingers crossed the storm stays far west of the coast. But, I feel like the Postal service. Not rain, nor snow, nor sleet..... See you there smile

Ha, ha, nice try!  It's my fault, because I cannot make it!  Man, if I lived back east (anywhere that direction from the Mississippi River) I would get to Carnegie Hall like Cathy said-not rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor threat, natural or personal, could keep me from missing this Historic Moment!
...however,.......airlines are another matter.  So unreliable, and delay, cancellation, etc.  coupled with, of course, "the weather," whether here or there or anywhere between for a route, would only make for bitterness.  Although still bitter to miss, yet less bitter than (possible/probable) extreme aggravations.

However, to each and everyone attending either or both performances, do enjoy.  I am confident Joe & Company are going to rise to the occasion.  I will look for faces during standing ovations... wink

You too?! I live on an unpaved private road in the middle of the woods with 12 other unfortunates. Signs of Spring used to be maple trees budding and crokuses blooming. Now it's mail delivery resuming on Deerpath Rd.

The jury is still out on whether driving or mass transit will be the better option. Either way, I'll be there. Carnegie Hall should sound amazing with a 12" blanket of snow silencing the neighborhood. Inside should be pretty ethereal if it materializes.

Re: Carnegie Hall

This is the first major show I've missed in quite some time.
I do have my eyes set on the upcoming Page/Beck/Clapton tribute...by hook or by crook!
Sure wish I was traveling in late January!! Have fun without me smile

I believe it's Page, Beck and Clapton....but Gallagher wouldn't hurt a bit either....4 Kings???

Re: Carnegie Hall

I am only going to Thursday's show so hopefully the train will get me home before the snow starts to fly.  Looking forward to seeing some new and old friends, but Bill and Rocket, you will be missed.

After I typed that and sent it, it started sounding better and better.....a little Gallagher would be great.....
