Re: It's Oct, must be halloween!

Wasnt sure you were reading my crap anymore, thought i'd give you a chance to compose yourself...lol..

Heres the story: I work in the post office (yeah so what!) and we've had a huge problem with rattle snakes coming in from banks of the American River which runs on the outside of town. We have 2 streets that are parallel with the river, the're about 1000 feet from the banks. You still with me?....ok

We have this one lady (I use that term loosely) who delivers the mail on these streets. In the last 4 months, residents living here have killed 38 rattlers!! People are so concerned that none of them will let thier kids out to play, even have put there homes up for sale in some cases.

The woman carrier is petrified of any creature, snakes, spiders, rats even mice. So I take every chance I get to tease her about being this tough girl from one of the worst neighborhoods in sactown. She claims to have threatened gansters with her glock and roams around her "hood" with a couple of pit bulls by her side. None of this I dont doubt, she's frickin nuts!!

Yesterday I'm in the office and hear this scream....SNNAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!
We all could hear the loud rattle sound coming from her case area. People are looking around bewidered, so a couple of us walk over to take a look at her area, the lady by this time is on the other side of the room. The sound is coming from her mailbag. This one dummy grabs the bag and picks it up " yep it's coming from here". He reaches in the bag and pulls out a wind up box that was making the sound.

Were dying laughing!!, it's a prank, Ive got tears rolling down my cheeks. The next thing i know, you know who, is coming accross the floor looking for ME!! I put up my hands and say " it wasnt me, I swear". I think the only thing that stopped her from belting me was she knows I'm not in the mood for pranks right now. Come to find out the guy that pulled it out of the bag was the culprit, he dissapeared in the postmasters office with a shop steward. It was still funny as all hell, even the lady was able to laugh after calming down. Hope that fellows suspension was worth it, it was for me...LOLLLL!!!!

Happy halloween!!

Love anything Halloween!! Great prank indeed!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!

Re: It's Oct, must be halloween!

Got to pick up 10 pumpkins. I carve them out with my dremel tool, the little kids on the court usually come over and try to help. I'm going to the halloween store this weekend, got to find something for Tyson to wear (he's my dog, and he loves me too!!...lol) when the tricker treaters come to the door, I'll have Tyson waitng by. I'm thinking "hippy dog", that way I can dress in the same theme, yall want some pictures too! Ahhh, forget it, I was just getting all caught up for a moment.

Hey Shred,

Have you ever dressed up as a scarecrow at sat motionless outside in a chair ready to surprise the kids when they come up? One year I'm planning on doing it. Usually I take Ben around with some buddies trick or treating or I stay home and give out the treats. But one of these years.............Look out kids!! lol

Roy

Your scarying me Roy , I'll tell you why. About 15 years ago we had a next door neighbor do that, scared the piss out of everyone. We had another neighbor across street bring her 80 year old grandmother to the door who was visiting from Germany. She nearly had a hearattack, we had to call the paramedics, everybody was shook up real bad! Just be careful who you spook, my neighbor never did a prank again after what happened to the old lady.

Re: It's Oct, must be halloween!

My niece came over tonight and we carved pumpkins and roasted seeds. It struck me that it would be fun to carve a Joe pumpkin...it's ok but I'm going to try to make a better one..Any other vegatable mutilators out there? Maybe Joe pumpkin avatars (I'll get help!)....My witch did turn out well!    Cathy

Re: It's Oct, must be halloween!

Trish, my Texan colleague, has Halloweenized the entire office for us!! We've got dangling spiders, cob webs, one huge skeleton in the middle of the reception area, various monsters, ghouls and freaks on nearly every door, pumpkins alight in every corner!!! Pity I don't have a decent camera with me sad

Re: It's Oct, must be halloween!

Check this out, I got a buddy at work who has amazing skills with a pencil. He's drawing up the carton character shirt of Joe on paper. I'm going to try it and carve it on a pumpkin, lets see how it turns out.
