Re: Acoustic Tour Band

thanks for the responses, i'm going to 2nd show at Carnegie hall, I know its going to be a great show, with a very unique sound.

Re: Acoustic Tour Band

Wow, sounds really great.  Wish I could make it to one of the shows.

Re: Acoustic Tour Band

Seems to be a cool new arrangement but: Heidelberg/Germany is too far. That is why we are looking forward to the DVD/blueray release.

When will it be? Would appreciate if someone who heard about it would inform us. Natasha perhaps???

"And on the mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, saxophone, acoustic guitar, vocals ... from Philadelphia, Pennsylviania ... Mr. Eric Bazilian!"

If you grew up in the mid-late 80's in the Philly Tri-State ... a memorable time for some local music going big ... like the Hooters!!  He's been active ever since.  Congrats Eric ... break a leg to all!

Don't know what Eric may be playing on this Tour ... but I admit ... had to google hurdy-gurdy:
Punk Rock Girl Tease with Eric Bazilian: https://youtu.be/BzYjvuKMaTM

Matthias Loibner hurdy gurdy master: https://youtu.be/QHmML7bu-iM  (very cool!)

Re: Acoustic Tour Band

When we saw Joe at the Rock Candy shows, he said there would be a hurdy gurdy player

smile looks like it would be a great visual seen live as it's being played.

Re: Acoustic Tour Band

The hurdy-gurdy seems like the nyckelharpa's country cousin. :-)

Re: Acoustic Tour Band

Kicking up an old Thread title ... that is somewhat vague to the post ... but in a desire not to start a new short lived Thread ...

Eric Bazilian ... with his Philadelphia born 80's band The Hooters ... will be featured in the storyline of tonight's episode of ABC's The Goldbergs ... a Philadelphia family set in the 80s's ... Airs tonight ... Wed 1/17/18 (8pm EST)

(I have only seen one prior episode ... about a beloved Flyers shirt ... that had seen better days ... it was a funny episode ... relatable ... as a big Flyers fan in the 80's)

Thanks to Jane H. for tonight's episode tip (Episode is titled Hooters) ... will catch it tonight.
