Re: Top Albums for 2015

Well, it's not blues rock, the new Muse album "Drones" was pretty good. Also "Immortalized" by Disturbed was a great comeback album!

Re: Top Albums for 2015

I'll second the nod to both Warren Haynes - Ashes & Dust, and Gov't Mule - Dub Side of the Mule.  I have had both in heavy rotation since their release.

I agree that this was a year for a lot of recycled music.  Two of my favorite albums released this year were The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers (Live), and Jeff Beck - Live+.  Jimmy Hall's vocals on Live+ were so powerful and fit Jeff's music style so well that I hope we'll see more of him in the future.  Going Down and Morning Dew are my personal favorites on the album.

2016 is looking good with new albums coming from Simo, Austin Young, Davy Knowles, and 2 from Joe. I still can't believe I'm going to see all 4 of these artists in one place in 45 days.

All the best and a happy, healthy and lucky 2016 with much of love and good vibes.

My favorite albums of 2015:

No 1 is: Yesse Younan - Streetlight Sunrise

- Dragondeer - Don't that feel good
- Genevieve Chadwick - Riding with the wind
- Little Hurricane - Homewrecker
- My Baby - Shamanaid
- Nathaniel Rateliffs & The Night Sweats

A few were released last year, a few some years ago but I discovered them last year.

1) Walter Trout: Battle Scars
2) Joe Bonamassa: Red Rocks
3) Ian Parker: Politic Blues

Re: Top Albums for 2015

In my opinion Bound by the Blues by Sonny Landreth is by far the best studio recording of 2015. Red Rocks is the best live album.
