Topic: Pain and Sorrow tab

Hey there,
I often listen to Pain and Sorrow. I'm trying it to do it on the guitar but I can't find the tabs. Is there anybody who knows them?

[edit: the tab's could be wrong, Joe said to me at one meet'n'greet that I brought a JB song book for him to sign.. he said "artist approved" I don't know if it is.. I can't read music, that's for 'musicians' ]
[there are a lot of volume swells in that song too, so getting a TAB is going to be hard as well]

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

You know I have to admire anyone who is trying to play Joe from that era. Don't give up! I have been working on A new Day Yesterday (studio version) for years.

I have looked at several tab books and none of them were even close to the originals. You can pick up some of the playing from the Borderline DVD which, even though it is fantastic, is still Pain and Sorrow 'Lite'. Looking at the live shows from that time it is obvious that Joe is at his absolute peak. Obviously a lot of Eric Johnson influence but you can at least see where the chords originate. He's in a drop 'D' tuning (you probably know that already) and he often keeps those 'ethereal' chords pretty simple with open strings in the mix.

If you ever do find a good tab I don't think there's anyone on here who wouldn't be interested.

Re: Pain and Sorrow tab

Thought I'd just add a link where you get a pretty good look at Joe's hands at around the 8:00 minute mark of this video (which is part 'B' of the whole song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMblbi8f51U

Why this version of Pain and Sorrow is not one of the greatest rock guitar solos of all time is beyond me. I miss this version of Joe.

I always thought those books weren't available in Holland. But I just looked at the main online store and I found them.
And the songs I still couldn't find I will try to make the tabs by myself and share them.
