Topic: Bugera v22 anyone else surprised by this amp?

Just because it was cheap and I kept hearing good things about them, I purchased one of these combos a couple weeks ago.

While the drive channel is pretty meh, the clean channel is unlike any other amp I've ever plugged into.......just incredible. Other amps I own are a HR3 with JJ's and a WGS G12 C/S, a Vox AC15c1 with JJ's and an Egnater Tweaker 40 with JJ's and a Cannibis Rex. Not one of them sounds as good as this cheap Bugera for cleans.

I love coming across inexpensive amps that actually sound really good. I doubt Joe would use one, but for me, this thing is a real surprise.

Never tried one, what puts me off is that they're made by Behringer, who are hardly known for good quality or reliability.

Yes, couldn't agree more. I've never owned a piece of their gear that proved to be of much value. This amp however is a very pleasant surprise. Will it hold up ? I don't know but my gear gets treated very well so if it fails, it won't be by my doing. I did get it with an extended warranty so time will tell.

I ended up with a V55HD in a trade, its the big brother to the V22.  It has 6l6's in it.  It's never given me a lick of trouble.  Probably have had it for 3 years, I'd guess.  It's not my main amp, but it gets used.  Cool drive channel and great clean channel.
