Hey Cathy, it looks like it's actually 150 min., but that's still a lot of condensing to do. I remember watching the first Crossroads Guitar Fest on PBS, and that was 3 days condensed. Great that they're putting it on because not everyone will have the DVD and that should spur a lot of sales.
David, don't forget Bob (tarus 52) who was right behind us. Our location was about 35-40 ft. or so from the stage (app. 10 -12 rows) and about 30-35 ft. or so to the right of the center as we faced the stage.
Can't wait for the DVD's!

I think it was originally Nov. 6, but I see it as the Nov. 20 as well.

I'll put on the headphones and turn the heat up! lol   Just look for Bonamassa Shirts!          Cathy

Here's a rundown of what they're showing on PBS:

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/shows/cro … glist.html

Hey Cathy,
Bob was wearing a black or dark brown hat that day so you first look for the tall guy with a dark hat and a black street team shirt. I was right in front of him in a cream colored shirt. Renee was right next to me, but she's shorter so she's harder to see. We were standing in the right front section facing the stage about 10-12 rows of people back and about the same distance right of center.

Lee,
I got the DVD,the first thing i did was try to find myself in the shot of the crowd which i did,i just looked for my hat and there i was.On the DVD the camera has shots of the crowd all day long.and i counted 9 times i saw myself through out the day. They did a great job of editing the show,i'am sure everybody will enjoy the show i know i did.

PS: take the booklet out with the crowd shot,on the front look at the right side of photo go back about 4 rows look right behind the girl with her hands raised, you can see my beard and hat.

While were on the subject of Crossroads,i would like to record the audio portion to put on CD so i can play it in my car, what would be the best way to do this, maybe Joe Beacon can help me out with this?

Hey Bob,
I've watched the DVD a couple times now and saw us as well - haven't counted them though. The one time you can really see us is actually during the crowd shot after the show was over. We took our time leaving and lingered a bit in front of the stage. You can see Renee carrying a pillow and me with a bag over my shoulder. Just as we're leaving the picture fades and cuts to the credits. I didn't notice us on the booklet photo until you pointed it out. The girls right arm is covering most of my face (I have the sunglasses on) and you can see the top of Renee's head to my right.

Re: Eric Clapton's Crossroads on PBS

Reminder alert. I'm recording this right now on my computer. Just started @8 and runs till 10:30

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Re: Eric Clapton's Crossroads on PBS

I can't wait for the DVD but this made me wish they'd recorded and sold all 11+ hours!! Hey Bob, tell Sonny, when you see him tomorrow, that his segment proves my point. Tell the band they looked and sounded great!!! What a memorable day! Couldn't spot you guys yet, I'll freeze the DVD!    Cathy

Re: Eric Clapton's Crossroads on PBS

I just posted about this under "Off Topics", not knowing this thread was here.
I watched about 1 1/2 on the local PBS station here. Definitely buying the DVD.
There's one shot that shows the stadium from behind the stage looking out towards the other end. If you look really hard, you might be able to see me and my daughter...we're almost in the last row in the center, about as far away from the stage as you can get. It was still awesome being there.

Re: Eric Clapton's Crossroads on PBS

Having the DVD and watching it on PBS last night brings back some great memories.  That was so much music packed in one day.

I did spot Bob with his hat and beard, still looking for Lee and Renee.  That was you Bill in the crowd shot!  lol

We were on the left side facing if you are facing the stage in the bleachers, haven't seen us as yet, but still looking!

David,
If you saw Bob then you saw us because we were literally right in front of Bob, maybe slightly to his left. I think the only time I may not be visible is during some of Los Lobos. I was there but I was sitting down because I knew we had a long way yet to go.

Re: Eric Clapton's Crossroads on PBS

I watched the PBS special last night and they had a nice close up of me during Los Lobos. I think I was standing right by this Bob guy you are all talking about because I remeber talking to a guy about Joe right before Sonny Landreth came on. I think I saw him on PBS when Bill Murray was singing Gloria.  By the way every Joe fan should check out Sonny Landreth live him and Joe I believe are the 2 most underated guitar players and artist in the world. Sonny is amazing.
