Well it was a blast up till the Mets.
No doubt the better team won.

I think it was better that the Cubs lost like they did, better than losing in game 7 like the Royals did to the Giants last year, I cant even imagine the heartbreak

Kudos to the Mets, they were the better team.
That said, this was not the Cubs team I saw all year.
They picked the worst time to play their worst stretch of the year.
Cubs need another quality starter.
They exceeded everyone's expectations this year. They'll be back with a vengeance next year.

I knew the Mets were toast when they gave away the 4th game. Well done to the Royals since they were clearly the better team.
I have no idea about our new manager. Former 3rd base coach for the Zonies. Time will tell, but he'll need some staffing and players from the tightwads upstairs.

We're number ONE.
My Padres broke a record for futility right off the bat, though bats were not much in use at all. They set the all time record for consecutive shut out innings to start a season. 3 games and change. A record that had stood since 1941 I think.
Nowhere to go but up from here.
