Just got back.
Excellent show. The sound at this purpose built music venue is extraordinary. Every little nuance of Anton's work was clearly heard. Had M&G tickets centre block, 3rd row and the 2 seats in front were empty, so it couldn't get much better.
But it did - Joe signed my guitar at the M&G and on stage he mentioned one of his early gigs at the Flowerpot pub in Derby which was one of my haunts 35 years ago.
Loved the blues heavy setlist. It worked really well. Almost to the point that Sloe Gin and BOJH seemed a little out of place.
I was just thinking during the show how clean Joe was playing when he made a couple of little fluffs in the quiet part of Love aint a Love song.
But all in all fabulous playing and with all due respect to the previous musicians Joe has shared a stage with, these guys are in a different class. Although Michael looks in need of a good meal or two - LOL
My fave Joe gig since 2007
PS
A rap across Joes knuckles for screaming 'Come On You muthaf*****s' to the audience during the encore.
