Topic: Thanks Joe! Look what you made me do...NGD!
Hi guy's.
Don't you just love bringing home a new, or at least new to you, guitar? Brought this home Friday...

Got it from a local pawn shop, traded a Squier Telecoustic (Telecaster acoustic hybrid). I got 10% off the price and my trade value made me giggle! I made the deal and scooted out of there. Not positive if it is a '58 Korina tribute model, serial number does not seem to offer that info, but so far all the specs and features point in that direction. Either way...thanks Joe! Love the neck profile, fret board seems to love the slide...not my favourite radius but I can live with it.
When I first tried the guitar at the pawn shop, this store has a guitar demo room with 10 different amps in it, I started playing it like a Strat! Found out that was wrong. I saw 3 knobs, master volume and 2 tone knobs...nope! 2 volume knobs and one master tone knob. Once I figured that out all was good. There is a rubber pad on the bottom for some grip when playing sitting down, but I found putting the notch of the V around my leg was more comfortable. Nicely balanced when standing too.
It's an Epiphone and it's 9 years old and I got a good deal on it and I like it, so all is good.
I have always liked the V, and with Joe's influence along with Albert King and even another artist who plays one on a regular basis that I love, the time was right.
Oh, that other artist would be Serena Ryder, my daughter and I love her.
Here she is with one of her V's... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz7jCY1cpHk
It's the Thanksgiving long weekend here, hope everyone is having a great weekend.
