Topic: LP style Guitar Build

The FB link above is to a photo of a LP style guitar build I finished a couple of weeks ago.
I had this huge slab of Walnut burl in the shop for a couple of years and finally decided it needed to become a guitar.
It is the best sounding and playing of the lot.
It was a true labor of love, but I'm not sure I will do another one for a long while.

Apparently the FB link isn't going public. The link above should work just fine. Sorry for the hassle!

Re: LP style Guitar Build

Very pretty well done. Is it heavy as burr walnut is very dense. big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: LP style Guitar Build

Re: LP style Guitar Build

Thanks for the kind words.
You are right the burl is very dense. The body was chambered and it is still comparable to the weight of a heavy Les Paul. I had hoped it would be lighter, but it is still very manageable.

Love the dot markers....and the burl.  Beautiful top, it's almost a ".....who cares how it sounds....".
