Re: Joe's new adventure

Glad I stayed up late as Joe popped up on here again tonite.  Interesting news about the fall tour - the three piece will be back!  Reconsider baby, anyone?  Joe said they would play  songs with the three piece band, then four piece and then six piece - should be very interesting.

Any more news on how to get tix for the Mr Kyp's show?  I think I would jump across the pond for the weekend for that one.

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.

Re: Joe's new adventure

Wow, interesting indeed about the fall tour! Power trio and old songs! If he does Reconsider Baby I will be soooooooooo happy! Or for that matter "I Know Where I Belong" Dying to hear those two songs. So glad we decided to do the UK tour this fall!

Yes, actually that's the main reason we are going. Joe's playing Liverpool on my birthday. Can't think of anything I'd rather do than celebrate the big "50" listening to Joe smile

Oh wow! That should be some celebration! I couldn't imagine any other way to celebrate either! Hopefully I will be fit enough to go, back recovery permitting. I am taking my partner this time (I pulled a monumental sulk on my 30th birthday last September when he didn't get me tix for Joe's March stint despite massive hints - he did complete my Tour de Force collection though) so my friend Annie and I ended up going to three of his shows then. That taught Matthew a lesson. Lol

Re: Joe's new adventure

Periscope, not only a new adventure for Joe, but for some of us too!!!

Love to hear his thoughts, gear infos and playing. Thanks for it, Joe. You keep me amused till the next concert in Saarbrücken. Great material choice concerning the set list. Hope to hear DSOB, Reconsider Baby, Pain & Sorrow plus Chains & Things and some of those Borderline stuff which is my number 1 of the Tour De Force. B.B.s The Thrill Has Gone will hopefully be a must have...

Enough! You "only" have 2 hours to perform. But there will be our 13th evening next year in March in Karlsruhe... Each 6 months we succeeded in enjoying your awesome singing & playing.
Keep on touring and periscoping...

Exactly. Just think the same.
Power Trio. Wow. Pain and Sorrow, Reconsider, Spanish Boots and I know where I belong.
Borderline is one of my faves. Looking foward to it.

This morning I just wanted to drive to work and then Periscope popped up. Joe is live.
Of course I delayed my drive to work and just watched this 20 mns.
Just fab.
Thanks Joe for the best moment on a Monday morning. Apart from seeing my daughters. :-)
Day saved.

Re: Joe's new adventure

If he plays those songs will they sound like the originals? He said he's playing straight into a Fender with no pedals at all.
It's all in the hands.

Re: Joe's new adventure

He must have recorded his last show because a post appeared on his Facebook page yesterday that lets you watch it.

Re: Joe's new adventure

Yup I can't do Periscope either but saw the 19min feed on Facebook

Interesting that he said the upcoming shows will start as a 3 piece band, then progress into a 4 piece then 6 piece as the show progresses.
Should prove interesting as a "retrospective " like a mini Tour De Force set
