Not a problem
The server wasn't responding over the weekend - can't recall the exact dates/times but it's all working fine now.

There was a time or two over the weekend when the browser would hang when I tried to access the forum. It seemed to clear up fairly quickly though.
No problems for me.
good to go here
best of luck, need Coach around here!!!!
Thanks, Jane, I appreciate that!
To be clear, the site lets me on, it just makes me jump through extra hoops, and tells me that I need to enable cookies for the site. I already have cookies from the site, so I'm not sure what's going on. It would appear to me that something has happened to corrupt the database that "knows" my username/password. It still accepts that information, but does not "see" that it has already set cookies on my computer...
That's the problem I wrote to Jim about...

Sorry Coach I misunderstood the problem as stated. Technical issues are not my expertise and the forum only allows me certain accessibility which is all I really want. I just thought if more people were having similar problems or any problems at all I could at least pass them on to the powers that be.
Oh, THAT problem. I get the same message on occasion (I usually select "stay logged on", but I'm assuming it happens after I've somehow become "logged off"). Anyway, tells me to enable cookies, then I just hit "log on" at the top and it lets me in.
The site will automatically log you off after a while on a time out for no activity. No problem. If you get you appear to have logged on but need to enable cookies-don't waste your time turning them on if off or hoping things will magically work a la "third time's a charm" on take 3. Go to your preferences and clear history, then close and reopen your browser. Then log in. Should always work.

Of course, there is always the possibility you/me/we have been hacked at some point. That can bring the please enable cookies message on or confirm security token (both possibly an indicator of different log on locale from a differing IP address, from yourself or someone else).

I'm good.
There's no football on today, so I've got time to break this down a little more specifically (yes, I'm still having the same problem logging in)...
When I click on the Firefox bookmark that brings me to the Forum, my correct username and password appear in the spaces, meaning Firefox still knows what they are. Checking the "Remember Me" box does nothing, as I have to go through the same process every time I visit the site, now.
After I click on the Login button, this message appears:
Unable to confirm security token. A likely cause for this is that some time passed between when you first entered the page and when you submitted a form or clicked a link. If that is the case and you would like to continue with your action, please click the Confirm button. Otherwise, you should click the Cancel button to return to where you were.
After I click on the "Confirm" button, this message appears:
You appear to have logged in successfully, however a cookie has not been set. Please check your settings and if applicable, enable cookies for this website.
At this point, if I click on the "Joe Bonamassa Forum" link it brings up the main forum page, but I really want to get back to being able to do that without all the extra BS.
Hope this makes it clearer what's been happening (and yes, I have cleared my browser history, enabled cookies--there are several associated with this site on my system--rebooted the system, etc.). There's something wonky going on with the PunBB, methinks...
