Topic: Your idea of the perfect pair of amps

Like a lot of players, I run dual amps whenever stage room allows. My current set-up is a Vox AC15c1 paired with a HotRod III. Given a budget of $1000.00 per amp, what would be your choice for a pair and why.

Re: Your idea of the perfect pair of amps

While sticking with the amp I have, Vox AC15cc1, I'd like to think adding a Fender Deluxe Reverb would be a great combination...Love to try it some day...Maybe fine a Fender Custom '68 reverb instead would be kool too.

Re: Your idea of the perfect pair of amps

I've never felt the need to run 2 amps as my Fender Deluxe Reverb has all the tone I need!

Having said that, I have run the DR as 2 amps by using both channels at the same time. I use a Radial City ABY amp switcher pedal that has the option of shifting the phase on one of the outputs by 180 degrees. I have the option of putting drives any effects before the ABY or after so I can have wet and dry channels and/or clean and dirty channels.

But mostly I just love my DR with an overdrive and delay.
