Here is my first. Inet was very poor in Studio City at the hotel and with wireless hotspot so we didn't get much uploaded (it's discouraging to see a nine hour estimate when you start upping a 6 minute vid. ). I got one up last night but decided at 4 am it was enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Hc0bjjnkQ4
I have a lot to up once I get home this afternoon and have good connections. Natasha and I were sitting elbow to elbow in front of Joe both nights. She has the first night too.
Great couple of nights, although I think I enjoyed Friday just a little bit better.
I filmed all 3 nights, but have been dealing with the absolutely slowest internet known to man so I have only been able to upload a few. We return home tomorrow, so be prepared to be inundated The shows were incredible. Everyone was having a great time. Very relaxed atmosphere and Joe and the rest of the band hung out in the back parking area with everyone afterwards signing cds and taking photos. Joe mentioned at one point during one of the shows that playing with this band is one of the greatest joys of his life and also mentioned they would play together again and again. It made all of us so happy to hear this. Joe's solos were off the hook and he was doing things I have never witnessed him do at any other performance. This band really brings out the best in him. He's free to explore and improvise in ways he can never do at his regular shows. The energy he expended was literally mindblowing especially knowing how busy he has been. The man never stops. He went from touring, to moving, to recording, to RCFP and now onto the 3 Kings. At one point when we were all out in the back, he stood there exhausted and turned to me and said "Joe B is tired" Poor guy. I really hope he gets some rest because a person can only go for so long before they collapse with exhaustion. Please take care of yourself Joe. We all worry about you.
What a great time at the spud this past weekend! I brought one of my girlfriends with me who had never heard of them and she was very impressed. We were going to fly out there, but decided it would be more fun to make a road trip out of it. It's been one of those life changing experiences seeing the beauty that is the United States. Currently somewhere in New Mexico eating mcdonalds breakfast lol anyways the guys were on fire and getting to see everyone again was a real joy. Seeing this band is just one of those things I can't miss, and now my girlfriend says she wants to come with me every time I converted a new fan! Anyways great job to all the guys and the new album is killer!

I was talking with Erin in the back before Saturday's show and Erin was saying that she and her friend got up at noon on Saturday, Joe comes over and said he did the same thing, said he didn't get home till almost 4 Saturday morning, just to get up and do it all again. I bet he was tired at the end of Saturday night. But let me tell you it's worth it, every penny, every minute of lost sleep, every mile driven, these shows are one of a kind. I'll be at the next gig, and the one after that..... and so on...and so on.......

Rick
sounds like all the shows were killer.
Videos uploaded for the first night, Thursday 7/23/15. I thought it was a fantastic show. Joe, on the other hand wasn't thrilled with his own performance and even felt the need to apologize to Tal about it. Joe is so hard on himself and Tal wasn't upset by Joe's playing at all. He says it's just supposed to be fun and he knows the first night for everyone is never as good as the subsequent ones. Joe said afterwards though, he doesn't care if he's playing for $20 or $150, he demands of himself a certain caliber of playing. And sure enough each night did improve from the previous. There were some pretty incredible moments that first night, though. The 5 minute solo Joe had in "Heartbeat" was incredible and the one in "Spaztastic" was also another killer one. It was so cool to finally hear the "Don't Be Stingy.." live. Such a fun song. And the 23 minute long "One Phone Call" with Danny's percussion solo was incredible impressive as well.

I just watched it for the 5th time and I'm smiling more each play. There is some seriously outrageous musicianship going down.
