Topic: Buddaheads

It is with profound sadness that i heard the news of the passing of Alan "BB Chung" Mirikitani
Lead Guitarist and Vocalist of Buddaheads yesterday

As like many of you here on the forum, you know i loved this awesome band so much, True Rockin' Blues with great truly tunes and solos, and could never work out why they never cracked the market and became a medium sized band travelling the world playing their superb Power Blues,
Lots of guys here loved em, Eva Andre Jane Tripsy Cathy Stu Gary Suzanne Roy Shredit Pittsburgh Jeff and many many more, i wonder if joe ever met Alan on the Los Angeles circuit

They have left so so many brilliant tunes and albums, i never got to see em live sad

I hope in some way their music can continue with someone who knew Alan close

Any of you guys n gals who aint heard of Buddaheads, Seroiously Check 'em Out

Re: Buddaheads

Indeed very sad. Thanks Michael for sending me their music. Great music!! Hoped to see them live once but can't anymore. RIP Mirikitani!

Re: Buddaheads

Bad news.I loved his music too.
He also played on the very good Glemtlams  Blues club cd by Mick Stover

Your rock candy baby
Your hard sweet and sticky

Re: Buddaheads

I too was a big fan.  Have had his music on my personal "heavy rotation" for years. No rhyme or reason for them not being much bigger than they were.  RIP

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

Re: Buddaheads

Very sad! I totally love the Buddaheads and years ago we've covered some of their material.
