Topic: Three Kings tour set changes

I was just wondering how drastic will the set list be changed between the 3 legs of the tour. Im having to wait until November to see him, and while I'd love to hear and see the original 3 kings set, I figure since theyre filming the LA show (final night of North America until fall), im hoping they give it the same treatment as muddy waters release.  This way, I'll be able to hear the changes to the set live and then see what I missed when the bluray comes out.  What do you guys think?

The 3 King's Tour is a tribute to BB, Freddy and Albert..
the 3 King's tour is just it.. Aug8-Till Aug 29.. 15 shows then that's it all over.

The Fall 2015 Tour will be to promote Joe's songs..
There may be spill over of "feeling" of the 3 King's but it will be Joe just expanding and growing, not a continuation of the 3 Kings.

3 King's gets filmed to later release in probably spring of 2016.. there is no way of telling if the show you will be at in Nov will get filmed unless there is some special guest and venue Joe wants to film.
Most venue's don't get filmed unless its a special reason.

you won't 'see or hear' any changes to the 3 King's set unless you follow him to every 3 Kings Tour Date. and the Fall 2015 shows is Joe's songs

I agree with Doug. The 3 Kings Tour is a special, separate tour with a very specific setlist that will only be played this August. I highly doubt any changes will happen in that setlist during that tour.

The Fall tours in Europe, UK and USA could very well feature a few songs from the 3 Kings Tour, just like Joe did after the Muddy Wolf tour. I imagine the setlist would be comprised of one or two from 3 Kings, some from the "Different Shades of Blue" album, some familiar older ones, and hopefully a few brand new ones he's working on right now. And frequently there are changes that occur as that long Fall tour moves along. He may add or drop a few songs as he goes. Often the Europeans have experienced a song we don't and vice versa. But the core of the setlist (usually about 13-14 songs) will remain the same

I totally agree with both of you.  I was just curious how many 3 kings songs may spill over to the last two legs of the tour.  I surely don't expect him to film in New Orleans at all.  I guess what I was pointing out (not too clearly) is that people who catch him after the 3 Kings run will be getting a totally different show AND be able to see the three kings set when they release it on Bluray.  I just hope the production values are the same as Muddy Wolf's.  The way Kevin produced it was magnificent.  I actually felt like I was in the stands.  They captured key moments of band members, Joe's hands doing solo's, fingers tickling te keyboards, and facial expressions and reactions of individual band members.  They even captured the venue quite nicely and overall I think it was his best release on video to date. I can only hope that the 3 Kingd release gets the same treatment.  I'm loving the way Joe is going back in time and showing respects to the true blues pioneers! smile
