Just received my copy yesterday, Father's day present with jet lag. This is just tremendous laid back listnin with a very talented backing band. Turns out that his bassist is from right here in Birmingham, AL. He went to THE University of Alabama where he was the #1 guy in their wind and jazz ensemble. If you have not caught John's recent concert on Palladia, Live from the Franklin Theater (TN), it is a must see, really well recorded. The CD is also streaming on the Utube, very happy to have a copy.....just think the world of him.
