Congrats to our longtime friend Joe Bonamassa who was named Best Guitarist for 2015 by the Blues Music Awards at their 36th Annual event held in Memphis.  Be sure to check out Joe's website to pick up the exclusive DVD A New Day Yesterday Live recorded in December, 2001 released in honor of the event.  Joe's 3 Kings Tour kicks off in August in Camden, New Jersey on August 7.

In the meantime, start celebrating Les Paul's birthday early and read our exclusive interview with Joe about his Signature Les Paul Out in Pelham Blue and his sage advice on practicing.
Well, you know, I've been playing 33 years of my life and every day I wake up and I'm excited about the guitar. I'm excited about playing; I'm excited about the sound of the case latches opening. I always grab for it.

Even when I tour a lot and I'm playing a lot on stage, I still practice, even after 33 years. And I think the real key to getting up to that professional level is first you've got to love it, and then you have to play. The more times you play live, the more times you play with other musicians, the more recordings you make, the better you're going to get. It's just like anything else. The more you do it, the better you're going to get.

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

Was there any doubt. Congrats Joe.  When are they going to have Joe on "Daryl's House"?  Seems like a natural fit.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.
